Wednesday, November 8th

1:09am: Merissa Olson requested to meet with an officer at 907 West Harrison Street to report an earlier altercation with someone. During the event, she requested the officer to transport her across town. The officer requested to search her purse and she consented. Prescription medications, not in the RX Bottle and green leafy materials were located in the purse. The items were seized for testing.

6:18am: Fareway reported a Theft from 1207 North Elm Street. Video shows a known female, who did not scan several of her items in the self-checkout lane. The value of the stolen items is $28.38. The officer is investigating.

8:26am: A Traffic Stop near Lincoln Way and Wilson resulted in Jay Orsack of Churdan being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

8:30am: A GCSD bus driver brought a School Bus Violation form to the officer. A vehicle had passed the stopped bus in the 400 Block of West South Street, with the stop sign out and lights activated. The driver provided a vehicle and driver description, along with a plate number. The officer is investigating.

3:17pm: An officer assisted a motorist, who ran out of fuel, near 220th and Oakland. The officer provided her a ride to a fuel station.

5:28pm: A caller spoke with an officer about a dog, who runs freely in the 500 Block of South Cedar Street.

5:36pm: A caller reported a male, lying passed out in the parking lot at 102 South Grimmell Road. The officer summoned the GC Ambulance to check on the male. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Nathan Christopher Moissianc, 19 of Jefferson for, “Public Intoxication – Simple.”

6:10pm: Chad Sloan spoke with an officer about his juvenile daughter being harassed in Boone County. The officer advised the Boone officials would be investigating the event, since it occurred there.

6:19pm: Shannon Sturgeon reported striking a deer on 220th, west of Oakland Ave. The 2020 Nissan, owned by Vanguard Utility Partners of Springville and operated by Sturgeon of Gowrie, received heavy damages and was towed from the scene. The officer estimated damage at $10,000.00.
