The Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is preparing for a meeting.

Extension Office Assistant Katrina Schulteis says that their members of Speak Out For Agriculture (SOFA) are preparing to have their first meeting of the fiscal year. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what the group is involved in doing.

“They do a lot with not only just animals and livestock, but also crop producing and other things that you would see as far as agriculture in the community and getting involved in that.”

Schulteis mentions that as this is their first meeting of the fiscal year, the group will most likely be discussing the different things that they would like to do in the coming year. She adds that last year the group took a trip to Kansas, stopping at a dairy farm, and Kansas State University.
