With the Thanksgiving holiday this week, several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

The Greene County Courthouse and Greene County ISU Extension Office will be closed Wednesday through Friday this week in observance of the holiday. The Jefferson Public Library and Jefferson City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday. The Jefferson Post Office and the Greene County Community Center will be closed only on Thanksgiving Day. 

Because of the holiday happening later this week, the garbage routes will not be impacted for Jefferson residents. Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.
