A Thanksgiving Day tradition is returning for its 13th year in Paton.

The Gobble Gobble 5K fun run/walk takes place on Thanksgiving Day at 8:30am. Anyone wanting to run up an appetite before their Thanksgiving Day meal can enter the race with three canned goods that will be donated to the local food pantry, Greene County Action Resource Center in Jefferson. Pumpkin pies will be awarded each to the fastest female and male, as well as the female and male that come closest to their predicted time.  

Last year, 300 non-perishable food items and $250 was donated to the ARC. New this year was the addition of a sweatshirt for those that pre-registered. The Gobble Gobble 5K will start at the Paton Community Building.
