Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball was looking to put together another solid performance on Tuesday night, and they were able to do just that against the North Polk Comets, winning by the score of 55-44. DCG starts 2-0 on the season.

Defense was the name of the game for the Mustangs, as they only gave up 19 points in the first half and only 28 points after three quarters of play, building up a nice cushion that they were able to keep throughout the majority of the game.

Josie Lampe was able to lead the way with 15 points for DCG and Kayla Reis was able to chip in with 12 points as well.

DCG will now have some time off for the Thanksgiving break for games, but will be returning to the court next week when they have their first home game of the year on Tuesday against the ADM Tigers.
