The West Central Valley Wildcats girls basketball team started their season at home against the 0-2 Grand View Christian Thunder.

The Wildcats outscored the Thunder 14-10 in the first quarter, and 17-11 in the second, before they headed into halftime. The Thunder took the third quarter 14-8 when the teams returned to action, but the Wildcats secured the game with another 17-11 performance in the final quarter, and finished the game with the 56-46 victory. The team returns to action next Tuesday, as they host the Creston Panthers.
