The Perry basketball teams will be back on the road tonight for a Heart of Iowa conference doubleheader at Roland Story. It is a very heavy road schedule to start the year for both teams with eight road games scheduled before the Christmas break. The Jayettes will look to snap a three game losing skid after a season opening win at Hoover. The Perry backcourt has been the strength with Maci Tunink and Karagyn Whelchel leading the way with 8 points per game.
Roland Story is off to a good start as expected. The Norse are 3-0 and are one of the favorites to contend for a Heart of Iowa Championship.
The Bluejays will try to get back on the winning track as well tonight after losses to Ogden and Nevada last week. Roland Story is 2-0 after an impressive 94-87 win against Raccoon River conference foe Gilbert.
You can listen to both games tonight starting at 6:00 on KDLS with Shawn Kenney.
