Perry residents are invited to enjoy some fellowship and meet new people at a holiday event.

Spring Valley Retirement Community Campus in Perry is hosting a Christmas Tour of Homes and Wine Walk tomorrow from 4-6pm. Perry Lutheran Homes Marketing Director Mollie Clark says attendees will receive complimentary wine and there will be a charcuterie board set up in the lobby and then everyone is free to casually travel the three floors of the facility to see the residents and their holiday decorated rooms. Additionally, Clark points out there will be drawings for door prizes as well.

“And how you win one of those door prizes is we have a lot of nativity sets setup through the whole building, and as you meander your way and enjoy the apartments that are open, if you want to count those, we have a little slip that you’ll fill out at the end guessing the number of nativity sets that we’ve got on display. And then you put your name in the drawing and if you are the closest to the actual number then you will win one of the door prizes.”     

Clark hopes this will be a great community-oriented event.

“But most importantly it’s a chance for the community and our tenants to visit with each other and to kind of get in the Christmas mood, get in the Christmas spirit, and really kind of prepare ourselves for the weeks to come.”  

There will also be live music from Doc McCaulley playing in the lobby. Attendees are to park and enter on the east side of the building.
