The Adel Public Library has a couple of programs happening on Monday.
Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says kids three and older can enjoy a specialized Storytime on Monday from 10-11am with the Dallas County Conservation Department. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio youngsters will explore hibernating animals and what animals do in the winter time.
Then from 4-6:30pm kids and families are invited to create gingerbread houses at the library. Puck gives a taste of what will be offered for people to use.
“We will definitely have gumdrops, probably some M&M’s, we have little candy canes, little peppermints, we’re going to have all kinds of stuff. Maybe some crunched up cereal, so that you can have little snowflakes on there. Lots of fun items to make your gingerbread house as festive.”
Puck adds there will also be frosting and frames for gingerbread houses, which participants can take home after the craft is done. Both programs are free and do not require registration.
