Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls wrestling had a team dual on Thursday night against Indianola, with the teams splitting the evening, the girls winning 54-18 and the boys falling by the score of 57-9.

Every match in the girls meet either ended in a fall or a forfeit, the girls were able to pick up falls from Leah Newell at 105 with a time of 3:34. Josephine Bond at 120 puts up a fall at a time of 1:52. Sabrina Macke at 125 finds a time at 3:07 and Asia Jahangir creates a fall at 3:31 in the 130 class. Bella Mulder grabs a fall at 135 with a time of 1:30, Jenah Gray gets one with a time of 1:27 in her fall, and Hailey Beaudet at 190 records a fall at 3:20. Allie Van Der Molen and Aubrey Borcherding both grabbed points after forfeit wins.

The boys faced an excellent Indianola team, and they were able to find two wrestlers get wins, with Nick Esser winning at 132 with a fall at 5:45, and Blake Forrester winning at 120 in a competitive match 7-5.

Both teams will be competing in invitationals  tomorrow, with the girls to be in Williamsburg and the boys at Johnston.
