Greene County 4-H and FFA’ers that show market beef, have an important event is coming up Sunday.

Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says the Market Beef Weigh-In will take place Sunday from 1-4pm at the Beef Pen of Three Barn on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. She points out this is the only weigh-in happening in Jefferson ahead of the Greene County Fair in July.

“Again if you are not able to make it to this weigh-in you do need to attend another county weigh-in before February 1st, that way you are able to exhibit market beef at the Greene County Fair or Iowa State Fair.”

Hardaway adds this weigh-in isn’t just for Greene County 4-H and FFA’ers, they will also accept youth from other counties as well.
