
Wednesday, December 6th
1:52am: While on patrol, an Officer found an unsecured business door in the 100 block of East State Street. The Officer found nothing suspicious and secured the door.
7:54am: Erica Midkiff reported an issue with a vehicle parked in the 800 block of West Monroe Street. The Officer checked the area and found no vehicles in violation of the parking ordinances.
11:13am: The Greene County High School reported an issue involving a student. It was later found the reported issue had occurred outside of the Jefferson City limits. The Greene County Sheriff Office took over the investigation.
2:36pm: Stacy McIntosh requested an Officer check on the welfare of a female who lived in the 100 block of North Olive Street. The Officer located the female and found she was not in need of assistance.
3:34pm: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call at the Wild Rose Casino.
5:43pm: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call at a residence in the 300 block of South Oak Street
8:58pm: Tickcha Jaimes reported possible harassment involving several juveniles. The Officer is investigating.
Thursday, December 7th
4:45am: A Traffic Stop near Lincoln Way and Chestnut Streets resulted in Fredy Hernandez of Perry being cited for, “No Valid DL and Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
10:18am: Rachel McCarty requested a Welfare Check on two children, she believed were being neglected, at 305 North Wilson #6. Officers arrived and made contact with two juveniles under the age of six. The officers requested them to get their mother, but advised the officers she would not get out of bed. The property owner arrived and entered the apartment to wake the mother up to speak to officers. The apartment was extremely unfit to live in. The children were covered in feces and urine. The officers took the children into Protective Custody and removed them from the mother. DHS later took custody of the children. Charges are pending in the matter.
1:50pm: Dave Morlan advised of a vehicle parked in the street, with a flat tire for several days. The vehicle was in the 300 Block of North Chestnut Street. The officer spoke to the owner of the vehicle and advised to remove it from the street, or it will be towed on 12/08/2023.
8:24pm: The GCMC ER reported a Bat Bite had occurred in Jefferson. The subject advised he removed a bat from his residence and was wearing gloves. The bite did not penetrate the glove to his skin.
