A state lawmaker recently completed a leadership training program.

District 24 Senator Jesse Green of Boone graduated from the Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development (BILLD). The program that was founded in 1995 and helps legislators meet the demands of policy responsibility within each state and continues to highlight the shortage of training sessions that are available for state lawmakers.

The 2023 BILLD program included courses and seminars that were conducted by policy experts, as well as developing leadership skills, and analyzing a variety of public policy issues, including economy, trades and energy policies. 

Senator Green was one of 37 legislators that graduated from the course. Senate District 24 includes Greene and Boone counties, along with the northwestern portion of Dallas County and western edge of Story County.
