December  7th

Wyitt Belgarde, Perry, was traveling on Willis Ave near I court, when he attempted to turn into a business.  Alexander Arbuckle, Perry,  was traveling behind Belgarde and attempted to pass Belgarde at the same time he was turning into a business, causing a collision.  The collision caused Mr. Arbuckle’s vehicle to go into a ditch and when it came back out, struck another vehicle, owned by Scott Hughes, Perry, parked in the business lot. EMS services were declined or no injuries were reported by the parties.  Damage to Mr. Hughes vehicle was estimated at $2500.  Damage to Mr. Belgarde’s vehicle was estimated at $1500.  Damage to Mr. Arbuckle’s vehicle was estimated at $5000.  Mr. Arbuckle was cited for Unsafe Passing. 

December 8th

Trevor Heinen, age 24, 404 Brady St, Minden, was arrested for Eluding.  He was also cited for Reckless Driving and Speeding – Road Work Zone. 

Allen Thomas, age 45, 100 Waterbury St, Newton, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked. 

Jacob Golbuff, Polk City, was driving North on R Ave at Acorn Ridge when he attempted to make a left turn onto Acorn Ridge.  When he did, his vehicle was struck by another vehicle driven by Christina Mundus, Winterset.  Ms. Mundus was behind Golbuff and pulled into the southbound lane in an attempt to pass him and collided with Mr. Golbuff’s vehicle.  No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Golbuff’s vehicle was estimated at $1500.  Damage to Ms. Mundus’ vehicle was estimated at $1500. 

December 9th

William Fanter, age 50, 1025 13th St, West Des Moines, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.  He was also cited for Speeding. 

Christopher Baker, age 39, 1603 Main St, Adel, was arrested for Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled or Revoked and Operate Without Interlock.  He was also cited for Failure To Provide Proof Of Financial Liability. 

Rudolph Zagar, age 39, 14641 Hull Ave, Perry,  was traveling on 170th Ave at I Ave, when he went into a ditch.  He left the accident on foot, but was located a short time later.   He was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence, Interference With Official Acts and Failure To Maintain Control.  

December 10th

David Littrel, age 36, 805 Jefferson St, Knoxville, was arrested for Violation Of No Contact Order. 

Miguel Torres, age 34, 523 Willis Ave, Perry, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Possession Of Controlled Substance. 

Trinity Borland, Bettendorf, was traveling on Hwy 141 at T Ave, when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $2000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

 A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
