The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.

The meeting will start with a public hearing about expanding an easement for Hardin Hilltop Wind and then the Council will consider approving the measure following the hearing. The Council will then consider for approval a resolution for the Greene County Supervisor’s request to call for a special election for the unincorporated, rural residents to decide on a referendum for Local Option Sales and Services Tax (LOSST). The city is not involved and LOSST remains unchanged through June 30, 2027. Additionally, the Council will consider approving an amendment to a contract with Region XII Council of Governments for an upper story housing project at 123 North Chestnut Street, a resolution for an amended plat of survey for Greene County Development Corporation, and a readiness study for a library construction project.

Then the Council will consider for approval the second reading to amend an ordinance regarding dogs barking, the 10th pay application for the Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project, the second pay estimate for the airport hangar project, and the East Lincoln Way project. They will also hear a report from the strategic planning session, as well as consider for approval the name of the animal shelter, dog park fees and the length of stay for an animal at the shelter.

The meeting will take place in person and remotely at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers. Click the link below to access the meeting remotely.
