An Audubon man was killed on Friday afternoon on Highway 141 in Dallas County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2017 Dodge Ram that was driven by 64-year-old Gary Bugger of Boone, was traveling west on the highway at 1:30pm and was attempting to make a left turn onto C Avenue. A 2010 BMW F800ST Motorcycle that was driven by 56-year-old Daniel Royce Beattie of Audubon was heading east on the highway, and Bugger failed to yield the right of way and turned into the path of Beattie. The collison made Beattie enter the south ditch where he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The incident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. The Dallas and Guthrie County Sheriff’s Offices and the Dallas County Medical Examiner also responded to the scene. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
