
Thursday, December 14th
1:42am: Tanisha Rice spoke to an officer in connection to prescription medications she believed were stolen.
8:30am: A caller advised an officer of a Jefferson resident heading back to Jefferson, who they believed had narcotics in the vehicle.
9:04am: Susan Grove reported a possible Burglary to her vehicle, while parked at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer and casino staff reviewed video of the vehicle, which no one approached while it was there.
10:13am: Mary Dvorak reported possible narcotic activity in her apartment building. The officer learned the tenant in question is being evicted.
11:57am: The office of Veterans Affairs requested a Welfare Check on a subject in the 100 Block of East Adams Street. The officer was unable to make contact with the subject.
2:40pm: Tickcha Jaimes requested an officer at 104 North Cedar Street for an Assault in Progress. The officer’s investigation led to a 17-year-old juvenile male being taken into custody. The juvenile has been charged in Juvenile Court for, “Assault – Serious and Assault – Aggravated.” The subject was transferred to a Juvenile Detention Center by the juvenile court.
5:29pm: Steven Harms reported someone entered his residence at 112 West Vest Street, without consent to do so. The officer learned a delivery person had sat a plant inside for his mother.
6:18pm: An officer investigated an Accident at Clark and Elm Streets. A 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned and operated by Rona Challen of Jefferson, was westbound on Clark Street. Challen stopped at the posted stop sign at Elm Street and was struck from behind. The 2006 Chevrolet K1500, owned by Audrey Hinote and being operated by Noah Hinote of Jefferson, failed to stop and struck the rear of Challen’s vehicle. Each vehicle had a reported $1600.00 in damages. Hinote was cited for, “Fail to Stop in Within an Assured Clear Distance Ahead.”
7:38pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of West Harrison Street.
10:31pm: Andrew Klein reported a careless Driver on 220th Street, heading west into Jefferson. The officer spoke to the driver of the vehicle about the complaint.
10:52pm: An officer witnessed a female sitting in the crosswalk at Adams and Elm Streets. The officer spoke to the female about the unsafe action.
