The Panorama Panthers basketball teams are gearing up for a close away game against conference rivals, the ACGC Chargers. Both teams, after talking to head coaches Kylee Boettcher and Nick Peasley, are looking to maintain their win streaks and secure victories.

For the women’s team, the key strategy is a strong defensive game. They aim to capitalize on defensive plays, swiftly transitioning to the basket to score points. “forcing them to into uncomfortable situations that they don’t want to be in and just to hopefully cause and turnovers and get some stops.” Along with also winning the rebound battles as that is another way the Panthers can control the game in their favor, “one of our strengths is obviously that I have strong rebounders and we’ve got quick girls that can move the ball both offensively and defensively so just making sure that we’re putting bodies on people and taking care of that into the definitely going to help us.” The focus of strong teamwork and defense is how the Panthers look to beat the 5-1 women Chargers.
On the men’s side, the emphasis is on closing out the game with strength.. “our biggest deal is just focusing on what we need to do we need to dictate the game and not allow them to dictate it and that’s what we talk about every day is dictating what happens most offensively and defensively and we do that will be pretty good but we’ve got to do that consistently and that starts with our discipline and toughness.”  Consistency is the goal, and the team is determined to shut down the Chargers’ scoring attempts.
As both teams prepare for this challenging matchup, the Panthers are focused on executing their game plans and securing the desired outcomes on the court. Tonight’s game will start with the women teams at 6:15pm. Followed by the men at 7:30pm.
