The Perry Bluejays grabbed their first boys’ basketball win in the Heart of the Iowa conference last night.  They took down Saydel 55-46.  Perry got big performances from both Kenney and Mahler.  Each guy finished with 18 points.  Perry would lead after the first 12-8.  The Eagles would fight back to take a 26-22 lead into half.  A strong third would see the Bluejays outscore the Eagles 20-9.  Perry would never look back as they pulled away for the nine point win.

Bluejays move to 2-5 (1-4) and Saydel falls to 2-4 (2-2).

Perry is back on the road Monday as they take on ADM in a girl/boy doubleheader.  Coverage set to start at 5:45 p.m. on KDLS.
