An organization in Jefferson has had several volunteers spend time reading to elementary students this year.

Members of the PEO Chapter CZ signed up through the Jefferson Public Library to be volunteer readers throughout the school year at the Greene County Elementary School. Some of the members have also volunteered directly with the school to help students with math and individual reading. 

The PEO is an international philanthropic organization for women that celebrates advancement of women, scholarships for women and their education, along with giving grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College.
