The Perry Chamber recently announced the winners of its ten-day retail promotion.

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says 131 passports were submitted, where customers had to make three purchases from the participating businesses. Of those, there were five winners drawn and those included Linda Huntington of Perry, Rebecca Starling of Perry, Sue Schulteis of Perry, Amber Burgin of Perry, and Karen Corona of Clive. Pasutti talks about the variety of people that shopped locally during the 2nd Annual Peppermint Walk

“The cards that were turned in (had) lots of Perry zip codes, but we also saw quite a few outside of Perry too. So again just like a nice way to remind people to shop local and support local businesses during the holiday season but hopefully that reminder for year round as well.”  

Pasutti adds each winner received grand prizes totalling over $250 with items, gift cards, and certificates from the participating businesses.
