
The West Central Valley Wildcats hosted the Madrid Tigers, and the teams ended up splitting the conference doubleheader.
The girls team jumped to an early lead, going up 13-9 in the first, then continued scoring and went into halftime up 21-12. A 16 point performance in the third put the Wildcats up 37-19, and another 14 in the final quarter ended the game with a 51-26 victory for West Central Valley.
The boys team was outscored 16-3 in the first, and 13-6 in the second, going into halftime down 29-9, but they outscored the Tigers in both quarters of the second half. In the third the Wildcats led 11-9, and then scored 20 to the Tigers 18 in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough to make a comeback, and the team fell 56-40.
