The Youth Services Department with the Jefferson Public Library is hosting a two-night event to get families into the holiday spirit.
Youth Services Librarian Bailey Mount tells Raccoon Valley Radio there is a Merry Grinchmas family escape room in the basement of the Sierra Community Theatre this Thursday and Friday from 6-8pm. Mount explains the details of how their escape room will work.
“You are put in a room and you have a set time period to solve a series of riddles, puzzles and other obstacles to escape-I use that term loosely-the room and win the experience. So in this case it’s all going to be Grinch and holiday-themed.”
Mount talks about why they wanted to have this take place over two nights.
“Now because Jefferson is a very, very, very busy town this time of year we decided to make it a two-day event, so that folks can either go to one day or the other. I know that everyone else has so much going on and we’re really just trying to add to stuff that’s already existing.”
Mount urges people to register for a time slot and the recommended minimum age is ten, and parties must have at least three people and no more than six. Click the link below to sign up or call the Youth Services Department at 515-386-4415.
