The Panorama School Board met in regular session on December 11th.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the Board started with a short meeting of the previous members to finish a few items, which was to approve the Board policy regarding discipline of students. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why that policy is important.
“The Board really challenged us to be more specific and intentional, and that’s what we did. And we came out and defined what those consequences should be and gave the administrators kind of guidelines as we navigate through each year.”
Huebner explains that after the old Board finished approving the policy, they adjourned, and then the new Board members were sworn in, and a Board president and vice president were elected. He says that the new Board then approves the purchase of an iMop to help custodial staff clean the floors better, the implementation of a new school website/application, the purchase of some weight room weight racks and potential graduates.
