With the Winter Solstice happening tomorrow, Dallas County Conservation is celebrating with a special program.
Conservation Outreach Coordinator Sarah McKeever invites the public to the astronomical clock at Hanging Rock in Redfield at 7am to watch the sunrise and acknowledge a change in the seasons.
“So the Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year. So celebrating that sunrise on that day is great because we have this positive look forward into more daylight coming our way in the coming days.”
McKeever notes that while there is no registration required for this program, she encourages people to sign up by clicking the link below to receive updates or any changes.
