The high school football season for the Greene County Rams has been over for two months, but the honors are still coming in. Senior Nathan Behne was named as the South squad kicker for the July 2024 Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game held inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. As a senior, he was five for seven on field goals with a long of 49 yards, and three others of 39 or more. Behne’s only extra point misses were on blocked attempts, and he had touchbacks on well over half of his kickoffs.
Behne, Jack Hansen, and Cody Allen, all received Academic All-State honors from the Iowa Football Coaches Association. Requirements for Academic All-State are being a senior with a minimum 3.70 grade point average on a 4.00 scale, as well as being a significant contributor to the football team.
