For those individuals who like seeing snow on the ground on Christmas Day are not going to be so lucky this year.
Weatherology Meteorologist Paul Trambley says this year is going to be a brown Christmas, meaning no snow and there is a strong chance for rain. He points out the last time there was no snow on Christmas Day was two years ago in 2021. He talks about the criteria for what is considered to be a “White Christmas.”
“To get in the books as a white Christmas you have to have at least one inch of snow on the ground on Christmas morning, on the morning of the 25th (of December).”
Trambley notes over the last 20 years there has been a split between brown and white Christmases.
