
If parents or guardians are looking for something for their kids to do during winter break, the Jefferson Public Library Youth Services Department has a couple of activities.
Youth Services Librarian Bailey Mount says tomorrow is “Do Your Itself” Gingerbread Houses for grades fifth through eighth from 2-4pm at the library. She talks about the inspiration behind hosting this holiday favorite activity. Click the link below to sign up for this program.
“This is just another classic example of listening to my kids that come in, hearing what they want to do and developing programs based out of that desire, out of that need. What can actually thank my kids that have attended our past two annual Haunted Gingerbread Houses for this coming to fruition.”
Mount adds on Friday will be a Cozy Cocoa Cinema for kids in kindergarten through fourth grade are invited to watch “The Polar Express” starting at 2pm also at the library. Attendees will get free popcorn and hot chocolate while enjoying the movie for free. Mount reminds any child who is six and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
