After a week off for Christmas, the Greene County high school wrestlers get back in the practice room today. Earlier this month, the Rams added a Tuesday, Jan. 2 quadrangular meet in Greenfield vs. Lenox, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, and the host Nodaway Valley Wolverines.

The Rams are 6-5 in dual meets and head coach Kirk Davis is hoping the time away has allowed some injuries to either heal or at least allow those being hampered to get back in the lineup. Gavyn Winter (120 lbs.), Jacob Harmeyer (126), and Gavin Scheuermann (157) all missed time leading up to the break.

Greene County students don’t return to class until Jan. 8, but the wrestlers have the quadrangular on the 2nd, then they’ll go to the Atlantic Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 6.
