The Adel Public Library invites anyone who hasn’t yet checked out an ongoing fundraiser to do so before the end of the month.

Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says the Wishing Tree has items on it that people can purchase in support of the library.

“And what we are focusing on is asking for items that directly benefit our programming.”

Some of those items include treats and snacks for teens, crafting items, along with glue, scissors, card tables, painting supplies, among other items. Puck explains the importance of doing something like this at the end of the year.

“Well I think it’s vital for the community to know where their dollars are going. They can visually see what they’re donating and know that it’s going to a good cause. So it’s very important for the community to realize that they can participate in helping their library produce these wonderful programs for their families.”

Puck points out there are ornaments on the tree with a QR code so that people can purchase the items from the library’s Amazon wish list. She adds the library’s website also has a link to the Wishing Tree items as well.
