Paton-Churdan

Both varsity basketball teams at Paton-Churdan are extremely youthful, and the teams are making strides, but progress isn’t always easily measured. Neither team has won a game yet, but girls’ coach Tom Kennedy and boys’ coach Greg Jacobs continue to see improvement. For example, there have been games where the number of turnovers committed has decreased, and the points scored has increased. Other times the Rockets have defended better than others.

Just how young are the P-C teams? Both squads have just one senior and few juniors. There are more freshmen out than any other grade with six girls and five boys being in ninth grade. Those numbers are almost higher than players from the three older grades combined.

Improving is something both coaches are focused on, and fans could very well notice the strides the Rockets make once the schedule resumes in Januarty.
