With the new year just days away, now’s the time to resolve to become an athletic official in 2024. Greene County Activities Director Dave Wright says officials are needed on nearly every level in almost all of the sports.
There are some specific needs for officiating A.D. Wright is looking for, and he talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about that. “We can always use volleyball officials. I know they struggle getting those. And, actually, I am looking for some local football officials on the lower levels, junior high, JV, and that sort of thing. I’ve sent some emails out to some guys, but it anybody out there is interested in doing that, we would love to have you, really for anything.”
Contact Dave Wright at the Activities Office at Greene County High School for more information on officiating, or go to the websites of the Iowa High School Athletic Association or Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
