Winter break is almost over, and the West Central Valley Wildcats are preparing to get back into the swing of things.

The girls basketball team started the season off with a 56-46 home win against the Grand View Christian Thunder, then fell 51-46 on the road to Creston. In their next game, the team took down the Ogden Bulldogs 54-24 on the road, then fell 31-20 against the Des Moines Christian Lions, and lost their pink out game 50-24 against the Panorama Panthers.

The Wildcats then hosted the Earlham Cardinals, falling 37-31, and took down the Madrid Tigers at home with a 51-26 victory. To finish off the first half of the season, West Central Valley fell on the road in a 55-25 loss to the AC/GC Chargers, and picked up a 39-33 road win against the Interstate 35 Roadrunners. The team’s next game will be January 5th as they hit the road to take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks, and have a current record of 4-5 on the season
