
The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.
The organizational meeting will take place first with the appointment of city engineer, building inspector, city clerk and attorney. The Council will also consider for approval the official newspapers for the year, committee appointments, and the appointments to city boards and commissions. Additionally, the Council will consider for approval two CEO changes for The Centennial and the Public House, a forgivable loan for a facade grant, a forgivable loan for another business at 214 East State Street, next to the Sierra Community Theatre.
The Council will also consider for approval a Brownfield Program application, an amendment to the Neighborhood Stabilization Improvement Incentive Program, and setting a public hearing to rezone an area at 403 West Head Street to multi-residential, a resolution for policies regarding the dog park, a resolution for a memorandum of understanding for the collective bargaining agreement, a resolution for a substance abuse policy for city employees that are covered by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and implement the employee assistance program. They will also consider approving a pay estimate for the wastewater treatment plant improvement project, a pay estimate for the airport hangar project, a multi-cultural resource center request, the Greene County Development Corporation quarterly funding request, and the third reading to amend an ordinance regarding disturbances caused by dogs.
