Jim Calvert Graduating IFBF Ag Leaders Institute

Guthrie County Farm Bureau recently announced some good news from the 105th Annual Meeting of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, which happened December 5th and 6th.

The designation of “Outstanding County Farm Bureau” was awarded to Guthrie County Farm Bureau, meaning that the branch connects with community members and elected officials about family farm practices, and engages in local, philanthropic activities. Guthrie County Farm Bureau President Jim Calvert was also recognized at the meeting, after graduating from the IFBF Ag Leaders Institute. The program consists of one year of training, and uses work sessions to help participants develop their skills and become effective community members, volunteers, advocates and/or elected officials.
