Snowy weather earlier this week prompted postponements of varsity athletic events. Since practices are not allowed when school is not held or is dismissed early, practice time has been limited. Greene County dismissed early on Monday and did not hold classes yesterday.

Greene County wrestlers took part on Saturday at the Rollin Dyer Invitational in Atlantic and today will be the only day of practice before Coach Kirk Davis’ Rams go to Jewel on Thursday to face South Hamilton and PCM (Monroe).

The boys’ basketball team hasn’t practiced this week either because of snowy weather. The Rams were to have hosted East Sac County (Lake View) in JV/Varsity play yesterday, but that was postponed until tomorrow. The JV teams play in Jefferson at 6 o’clock with the varsity game around 7:30 p.m. and the varsity game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com The boys and girls from Greene County host the PCM teams this Friday and those two contests can be heard on Kg98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
