In a week where snow has been the winner, Greene County and East Sac County (Lake View) played non-conference boys’ basketball in Jefferson last night on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. ESC won by a 70-48 final to improve to 8-2 on the season while the Rams fell to 1-10.
The Rams led 11-9 after one quarter, but it was a halftime lead of 29-18 for the Raiders. The visiting tea led 33-20 early in the third quarter before the Rams went on a run of eight straight points to close to within 33-28. That was as close as the Rams would get as the Raiders pulled away.
ESC had 19 points from Sam Julin, 15 by Ryan Clair and 13 off the bench for Tony Clair. The Rams had 16 points from Gabe Ebersole and 15 by Brynley Ruzicka. Both teams made seven three0point goals.
There is no school today for Greene County due to the weather and the girl/boy basketball doubleheader scheduled for Jefferson tonight vs. PCM (Monroe) have been called off.
