The city of Perry has released some information regarding today’s winter weather.

The city’s snow ordinance remains in effect. Snow removal crews stopped around 3pm Friday and will continue to clear roads at 6am Saturday. Sanitation crews tried to get as much garbage as possible in the commercial and residential areas, but if someone did not get their garbage picked up Friday, they need to contact Perry City Hall on Monday at 515-465-2481.

Due to blowing and drifting snow, travel is not advised at this time. Public Works Director Josh Wuebker is asking for everyone’s patience as this will be a long and ongoing operation. A tow ban remains in effect for all of Dallas County, including within Perry city limits.
