Road conditions continue to decline in the Raccoon Valley Radio area.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation travel 511 website, Highway 141 from Highway 4 to Granger is impassable at this time. Additionally, Highway 144 from Rippey to Perry is also impassable. Highway 44 from Panora to Dallas Center is also impassable.
The National Weather Service says high winds between 25 to 45 miles per hour will continue throughout the weekend, which is causing drifting snow and white out conditions on the county and state highways. Travel is not advised in Dallas, Greene and Guthrie counties, and tow bans remain in place in all three counties.
