A reminder that with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day coming up on Monday, several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library, Greene County Extension Office and the Jefferson Post Office will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Jefferson residents are reminded that garbage and recycling routes will be delayed by one day, due to the holiday. Garbage and recycling routes will go back to normal schedules the following week.
