An event that was supposed to be held yesterday in Perry was canceled due to weather, but there’s still an opportunity to get a free meal today.
Landus Cooperative and the Matt and Shanda Carsents Family Foundation were going to host a community event last night at the Tin Pig in Perry for free food, fellowship and support. However, due to the blizzard conditions and adhering to the local officials recommendations on “travel not advised” the event was canceled.
The two entities are still going to provide free to-go meals today from the Tin Pig from 11am-6pm while supplies last. Additionally, Landus and the Matt and Shanda Carstens Family Foundation have teamed up with Heartland Area Education Agency and the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) to offer mental and personal support resources, which can be found here.
