After the threat of severe weather prompted school officials to postpone the Jan. 8 Greene County at Manson-Northwest Webster girl/boy basketball doubleheader in Manson, the games were reschedule for today and tonight, but now that action has been called off as well. There was to have been two quarters of a JV girls’ game, a full JV boys’ game, then varsity games for girls and boys, but all of it has been called off.

The Greene County girls are 0-11 and have not played a game since Dec. 19. The Greene County boys are 1-10 and have once since Dec. 19, a 70-48 loss in Jefferson last Thursday night vs. East Sac County (Lake View).

Next on the Greene County varsity schedule is a girl/boy doubleheader this Friday the 19th in Jefferson vs. Heart of Iowa Activities Conference opponent South Hamilton (Jewel). Those games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage Friday starts at 5:45 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 o’clock and the boys to follow.
