
A special event is slated for Tuesday afternoon for the recently passed away Perry High School principal.
According to the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory in Perry, an Honor Route is planned for around 1:30pm when Principal Dan Marbuger, who passed away from wounds he suffered from the events that happened on January 4th, will be returning back to Perry.
The 56-year-old passed away at UnityPoint Health-Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines Sunday morning. Community members and the public are invited to line the route in blue in support of the brave actions Marburger took on January 4th in an effort to protect other students from getting into harm’s way.
Marburger will be escorted from the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale around 1pm, and will be exiting onto Willis Avenue from Highway 141 westbound. The route then goes Willis Avenue north onto 18th Street and west on Park to the Caldwell Parrish facility in Perry. Participants are encouraged to dress warm.
