The votes came in late Monday night for the Republicans choosing their next candidate in the Perry precincts.

The Democratic Perry precincts were held at the McCreary Building Monday evening. The Democrats did not have to choose a candidate because President Joe Biden will be seeking reelection. However, the Perry precincts chose a slate of delegates while Monica Peitz led the discussion as she was elected as the Democratic Chair. Rita Ridler was voted as the Democratic Secretary.
The First County Party Committee next meeting will be on this upcoming Monday, January 22nd and the First County Convention will convene on March 23rd.
As for Republicans, they were poised to choose their candidate. The votes came in for the Perry precincts.
ASA Hutchinson received one vote, Vivek Ramaswamy tallied 13, 24 votes went to Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis had 45 votes, but it was Former President Donald Trump who ran away from the competition with 122 votes in the Perry precincts.
