With warmer temperatures coming after lots of snowfall, road conditions could still be slick.

National Weather Service Lead Meteorologist Brooke Hagenhoff talks about the challenges motorists could face this week.

“Looking at the potential for adding rain on top of snow, it can get really sloppy on area roadways, whenever you start to have that combination. And also looking at some refreeze potentially, you get a lot of liquid and then the sun goes down and you get cold. So while it is warmer and we’ve got rain, liquid form falling from the sky, don’t want to let our guard down as far as still having those slick road conditions and being prepared for some of that.”

The National Weather Service is looking for daytime highs to be in the mid to upper 30s through early next week, with overnight lows of mid to upper 20s and lower 30s.
