The Monster Deeds Acres project, containing “S” Avenue, marches forward with a public hearing at the Dallas County Board of Supervisors.

During last week’s meeting, the board was presented with a project containing “S” Avenue dedicating half to the county and possibly using the other half as an easement. The board wasn’t comfortable making a decision at the time due to lack of information, since the surveyor wasn’t present to answer several questions. Wally Pelds, Surveyor was at yesterday’s meeting to answer the concerns brought up previously. After much more discussion, the board decided to create a resolution for a public hearing.

The board also received an update for their new Administration Building. The outside isn’t completed yet but members were shown what the interior would look like. The presentation was on poster boards, which the supervisors will keep to further evaluate before the next meeting. Other items on the agenda was the City of Waukee Joint Road Project, being approved as well as the Final Plat for Sullivan. That project deals with two plots in Van Meter. Another project being worked on is the Criminal Court Building. The project will be unveiled at the board’s February 27th meeting.
