
For the first time this basketball season, Perry basketball has swept a doubleheader. Perry knocked off their rivals in Jefferson on Saturday. This contest was originally scheduled for January 5th.
The ladies won their second conference game of the season, 40-23. The boys knocked off the Rams, 88-64.
The Jayettes road 5 first quarter threes to a 17-2 lead. Perry would take a 18 point lead into half. They ultimately won 40-23.
The Jayettes improve to 3-14 (2-10) while Greene Co falls to 1-18 (1-12).
The boys also had a 15 point lead after the first, 23-8. They took a 45-21 lead into half. Greene County would cut the lead to 17 after three, 66-49. Bluejays would pull off the win 88-64. Kenney had a team high 21 points and Myers chipped in 20.
The Bluejays improve to 7-12 (3-9) while Greene Co falls to 1-18 (1-12).
These two teams will see each other Tuesday in Perry. You can hear the doubleheader on KDLS at 5:50p.
