The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team came out with a point to prove as they stroll to blowout win against Ballard.

The first time these two teams met back on December 1st, ADM came out on top in overtime with a 76-74 victory. In fact, that game is what prompted the start of 16-straight wins for the Tigers. Last night, ADM jumped out to a 19-9 first quarter advantage. They went on to score 22 in the second, holding the Bombers to 12 points for a 41-21 halftime lead. Both teams combined for 30 points in the third as ADM still was up 57-35 going to the fourth. In the final quarter, the lead would grow to as big as 32 with the Tigers prevailing to a 67-41 win and their 16th consecutive.

ADM had four players in double figures with Rhylan Stine-Smith’s 16 leading the way. Adam Bryte had 14, Sophomore Hudson Shull finished with 13, and Hudson Lorensen tallied 11. Ballard was led by Sophomore Jude Gibson with 16, Nolan Cogdill had eight (8), and it was Mason Gatchel finishing with five (5).

With the win, ADM improves to 16-1 overall (14-0 Raccoon Valley Conference), while Ballard drops to 12-6 overall (10-5 RVC). Ballard will end the regular season at home hosting Winterset on Friday, but the Tigers will see the Huskies tonight on the road. The boys game will follow the girls (approximately 7:30pm tip) and the action will be broadcasts on K1079 and the KKRF Mobile App.
