
The Iowa High School Girls State Wrestling Tournament concluded this past Friday, with Raccoon River Wrestling’s Katie Biscoglia taking the state championship in the 100-pound weight class.
Biscoglia defeated Decorah’s Chloe Sheffield to become a two-time undefeated champion. Only a sophomore, Biscoglia finished 50-0 on the season, now improving to 96-0 overall as she carries it into her junior year.
Raccoon River Wrestling, which is made up of four schools, including Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, Van Meter, Waukee, and Waukee Northwest, and the team tied for second place at the state tournament.
