The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The Board approved a retirement for Maralie Ruth from the County Recorder’s Office that is effective July 2nd after 25 years of service.

The Board then discussed a few topics related to the 2025 fiscal year budget requests for the rural services. The Board agreed to move forward with a four percent increase to the base budget for the Greene County Libraries Association instead of the full eight percent increase that GCLA asked for. They also talked about the request for a naturalist position with the county conservation department, and the absence of revenues from the Raccoon River Valley Trail passes, since passes are no longer available to use the trail. The Board is planning to visit with Conservation Director Tanner Scheuermann when the Board meets on Thursday. No action was taken following the discussions on rural services.

The meeting ended in a budget workshop, where again no action was taken.
